Eco Workshop 2011/12

Hopscotch Theatre is fortunate to work with very talented people who are not
only actors but also workshop facilitators. Hopscotch drama workshops start with short performance sketches taken from previous scripts specially commissioned by Hopscotch. The scripts we will be looking at as a starting point for these Eco Workshops are , “When The Oil Ran Out” – due to retour to schools 2012 and “What A Load of Rubbish” both written by our resident writer, Raymond Burke. Our two experienced actors / drama workers will facilitate the session through a short performance followed by a highly interactive workshop exploring the issues of sustainability, conservation and climate change.  Active learning will be encouraged through children’s
questioning and interaction, using drama conventions such as hot seating, thought tracking and conscience alley and by creating scenarios using freeze frame and other drama techniques.
