Ross was one of the founding members of Hopscotch Theatre Company in 1988, since then he has written more than 54 Hopscotch productions and directed and acted in many.

Most recently he wrote the 2010 pantomime “Puss In Boots” and is performing in the touring production of “Tam o’Shanter.”

Ross’s other work includes writing for Scottish Opera as well as acting for companies such as 7:84, The Arches and Tangerine Productions.
