BECOME A HOPSCOTCH THEATRE COMPANY BOARD MEMBER!
We are currently looking for new Trustees to join our Board. (This is a voluntary, unpaid role)
Hopscotch Theatre Company’s core aim is to nurture an appreciation of the performing arts at an early age, providing children with the opportunity to engage with confidence and creativity in the world around them.
Hopscotch is an established charity and has been touring its theatre productions and workshop programmes to schools and venues across Scotland for over 30 years. We are now actively seeking to recruit new board members and chair for the next stage in the development of our hugely popular children’s theatre company.
Hopscotch are keen to develop our creative work, partnerships and grow our audience base. We would particularly welcome applications who have a strong interest in children’s theatre. Some of these skill sets may include:
– a knowledge of Curriculum for Excellence and/ or links with schools
– human resources and/or employment law
– financial and charity management
If you think you are that person, and share our values, ideals and aspirations, then we would love to hear from you!
New candidates joining the Hopscotch board will be welcomed into a supportive and friendly group. You will contribute to the creative journey of the company, help to shape the business strategy and governance practices. We are looking for board members who would relish the opportunity to create and develop partnerships with local groups, creatives and organisations and to help us grow our audience and touring programmes. Hopscotch value our voluntary board members and offer training where and when appropriate to help achieve the core company’s aims.
