Plop! In The Ocean

Plop! In the Ocean’, is an eco-fable written by bard of Glastonbury and Roald Dahl Foundation storyteller in residence, Sarah Mooney, taking the form of a slapstick ancient Greek comedy.

About the show

Touring from 27th july 2024 to 13th september 2024

 for schPoseidon, Greek god of the sea, is sent on an adventure across the oceans to find the treasure ‘deep within’, but he comes back with more than anyone bargained for. Could his discovery help save the planet? ‘Plop! in the Ocean’ is a hilarious slapstick comedy about friendship, plastic pollution and looking after our planet.

Previous Tour Dates:

Northeast Tour: 19th August until 13th September 2024.

Aberdeen Festival of The Sea: Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th July 2024 @ 11.30 am and 2.20 pm. 

West Coast Schools Tour: 5th September – 17th October 2022.

storyline
Demeter (Goddess of Harvests & Agriculture) is having a bad day. All she wants is some peace and quiet, but there is too much noise, distraction, pollution and plastic! Her good friend Poseidon (God of the Sea, Earthquakes and Horses) means well, but he isn’t helping. To distract Poseidon, Demeter decides to send him on a quest. He comes back with more than she bargained for …but it might just help to save the planet.
