We are always on the lookout for writers who are interested in creating work for young audiences. If you would like to tell us more about an idea you have or need advice in writing for children’s theatre say hello at info@hopscotchtheatre.com. We do not accept unsolicited scripts but we would be happy to have a coffee and chat about your work.

We are seeking board members with an interest in one or more of the following areas or if you share our values, ideals and aspirations and would like to get involved with making theatre or governing a charity then we would love to hear from you!
– experience of working in the education sector or links with schools
– a knowledge of theatre production and/ or touring
– human resources and/or employment law
– financial and charity management
New candidates joining Hopscotch will be welcomed into a supportive and friendly group of artists and educators. You will have the opportunity to contribute to our creative journey and shape the strategic goals of the company. We are looking for members who would enjoy the opportunity to be involved in the creation and development of partnerships with local groups, creatives and organisations and to help us grow our audience and touring programmes. Hopscotch value our voluntary board members, they are the back bone of the organisation, and we aim to offer training where and when appropriate to help achieve the company’s mission.
Our Board members meet in the evening on a quarterly basis which last approximately two hours. We also have annual development days where you will have the opportunity to partake in relevant training and contribute to the company’s creative development. This is a voluntary position, however reasonable travel expense will be met where required.
